Can T-Max be run open loop?

Just wondering if after the auto tune feature gets the map close enough, if the O2 sensors could be removed from the system and run open loop?

To my understanding it can be as long as you have the ability (advanced software code) to save the module adjustments to the base map as a new map. You can also just leave everything as is and take away its ability to make adjustments to the base map by going into closed loop settings and turning the auto tune off. That way if you ever notice because of travel, relocation, or modification it needs a touch up all you have to do is turn it back on and not have to re-install anything.
