Back at it...rigid shovel

hey all...well i have not posted a project in a few years. had some life changes and now im squared away getting onto another shovel project. This will keep me from pacing the house and going stir crazy this winter....here is a pic or 2 for your viewing pleasure. Couldn't load pics of progress from frame to motor..but you get the point....one day at a time...one piece at a time...enjoy...Jer

Back in the day, we built a pile of those similar to that.
Looks like it's going to be a nice one.

Great start Jerite.
Do you have your tranny and driveline in hand or are you still shopping?
Don't know how well I could survive a rigid anymore but there ain't much out there cleaner and nicer than a rigid shovel.

Wow, very nice. Nice, clean, simple lines. I have to agree with ramcr913 though, I don't know how my lower back would handle that anymore. I sure would like to have another one for some short rides and to just say I have one again. Keep us posted on the progress, it looks great.

well...lookin at a trans with kicker(cuz its cool) and 3" open belt...but still shoppin. thanks guys for the compliments. well not sure myself how the back will hold up.....but i figured i need to build a rigid while i can still consider riding one. but it will be only some short rides i am sure. got the flhx for long runs......Jer

Thought of swaping the fenders? I always liked the look of a front on the rear. And a flat fender on the front works too.

Hey all......well been pacing myself cuz its a long winter here and dont want to have nothin to do in the shed. But cant stanz to not work on her. A lil' wiring, oil/fuel lines, primary belt(on order) and i will be kickin her over. Cant wait for the first rev of this shovel........as sweet as the sounds of a new born baby......Jer
