I saw a pretty good price on some James oil pump gaskets. The only thing that worries me is that they have the silicon bead on them. I know that the thickness of the oil pump gaskets is critical and it just seems to me that the beaded gaskets are gonna pretty much have to be thicker then the OEM paper gaskets. Even when fully compressed. Are these puppies safe to run. I trust James Gaskets but this is a new one on me.

That's a new one on me too but in my experience ANYTHING on oil pump gaskets will cause you problems. I wouldn't use them. JMO

Yeah, I have to agree. Unless some others chime in to say they've used them with  no problems I'm gonna stick to the plain paper ones.

   I tend to use the manufactures gaskets for pumps,,,IE S&S pump,,S&S gasket....HD pump,,,HD gasket,,,,,,,
This is the safest for me,,,
