How do i get the seat up on a 97 heritage springer to check the battery?

take back bolt out of passenger seat ,take off ,remove two stay nuts and remove front seat

I think it is the same as my Heritage. Mine has two bolts, one each side of the seat. Mine are large chrome allen bolts, some are hex head. Some are round knurled hand type tightening. Those plus the small bolt at the back. Seat should clip in under a bracket in front so you have to pull back when all bots are removed.
