I have a propane stove and cannot get the oven to keep a constant temp. would changing the thermocoupling help? need to change the thermostas? any help is appreacated.

Thermocouple won't solve the problem. You need to replace the thermostat.

Is it an older stove? or newer with electrics? Is the temp fluctuating? Airflow:Usually vents are at the top behind the main burners, are they blocked by large pots etc.? Do you have foil in the bottom of the oven, or on the racks? Electrics: if newer could be a circuit board, a/c the electrics take a signal from a sensor in the oven to maintain temps. I tell all my friends if their energy provider offers an appliance repair program, go for it. The indy's will hate me for this, but value is just that, IMO.
Good Luck.

Pull it out and look for a wiring diagram on the back of the stove. It is most likely the stat but there may be a hi limit switch in the circuit and it might be the problem.  I am not a applance tech.  Good luck

I'm no tech either. Know enough to be dangerous. My brother is the expert.

It don't take much to get yall going does it. I may live in the north but was born in Texas. All us Texans know you use y-er to fix stuff that gets hot not duct tape.

a fellow went sky diving one day and as he pulled the rip cord, nothing happened. he then pulled the reserve  chute and again, nothing.
as he was plummeting toward the earth, he spotted a fellow coming toward him from below and about the time they met he shouted, hey , you know anything about parachutes? the reply was, no, do you know anything about propane stoves?
RIDE LIKE HELL AND YOU'LL PROBABLY WIND UP THERE
