Hi Guys, I have a problem with my current air cleaner on my 1998 FXDL.  First I don't like the placement of it as I have to kind of bow my leg around it to rest comfotably on the forward controls.  I don't want to go to mids but I'm tired of rubbing the inside of my knee against the cover.  This weekend I sat on a wide glide with a 90degree Screaming Eagle Forcewinder cone style air cleaner and low and behold my leg didn't come close to touching it.  I asked about one at the dealership but was told that they "HD" no longer offers them for the 1998 Dyna or Evos in general.  So I thought I was SOL until I saw that Forcewinder supposedly made the HD ones and they still make them.

My questions are:

1.) I saw that Arlen Ness makes a 90 degree velocity stack with filter that looks just like the Forcewinder but used the closed loop, Big Sucker style system.  Would you have a preference of one over the other?

2.) Is a filtered velocity stack the same thing as the Forcewinder?

3.) Do you have any other recommendations?  For example I saw S&S had a dual cone type of intake that looked cool if somewhat overkill.

4.) What type of performance increase if any should I expect?

This is what I'm talking about:
