I'm trying to fix some paint chips.  I've got the chips painted, using the hd touch up paint base and clear coat, and would like to know how long I need to let the paint dry before I sand it down.  I've read anywhere from 24 hours to 2 weeks.  Any advice?

as long as you can stand to wait would be good....as in "Longer the better", especially if its colder than normal ;)

Thanks.  Also, after I sand, should I use rubbing compound, or a glaze, or both?  I read somewhere to use glaze, and somewhere else to use rubbing compound.

pick up some Maguiers "Diamond Cut 2.0" compound/polish, it cuts without course grit, and will buff out to a perfect finish, then finish off with your favorite wax
Sand with 1500 wet on chip repairs, less chance of going thru the clear...which is not good
