Is the run still happening and if so is it still at the end of April?  There was a movement a few years ago to start something in Lake Havasu at the same time, but without the high prices.  Anything new on that idea?   Went for many years, but stopped 4 years ago.  Was always a good time.

This is was what I could find. I will check with some friends out there also. I've never been but would love to go.

The Laughlin Run is still a good time. Unless your running dirty the popo aint gonna bother you.

I went five times in the 1990's. It was OK. I happened to stay home the year of the shooting spree. That was good because I don't want to lose my amateur standing.

That war isn't over yet, either. You never know when or where it will flare up.  :potstir:

Going again this year, got rooms at the Riverside.
Always have a good time. That thing that happened a long time ago is old news.
Don't really care what those " other guys" do, none of my bidness. I mind my own and always watch my 6 when in mixed company.
See ya there!!

I used to really enjoy Laughlin.  2004 was the last time I went.  What finally broke my back was walking into all the restaurants at the casinos to find "special menus".  The "special" part was the much smaller selection of items and the prices having been doubled over what they were the night before.  I haven't been back since.  It was a fun time, but $30 for a bad steak is more then I can take.  The only year I thought the police were too heavy handed was the year following the HA/Bandidos shoot out.  All the other years they seemed pretty cool.

CraigArizona,
I hear ya about them jacking up the prices and the special River Run menues. They also jack the prices on all the bevereges at the stores along the main drag. We were getting 2 dollar beers at the bar on Tuesday night, then on Wed. they wanted $4.50 and poured it in a plastic cup.
You do know that there are some very good places to eat in Bullhead City and Ft. Mohave that do not try to gouge you. Also we buy our drinks over at the WallyMart there and tote them back to the room. I will never pay 5-6 dollars for a short shot of JD at one of the casino bars, I have a real nice flask I carry with me if so inclined to drink on the cheap. I am not drinking like I used to so this will be an intersting Laughlin for me this year.

Craig, don't remember hearing about the Bandido's. Was that before or after the altercation between the HA and Mongols?

In-laws live in Bullhead.
Was talking with them a few weeks back and apparently the Laughlin CoC has gotten the message. This year the popo are supposed to maintain a low profile. The are supposidly going to take a Sturgis style approach for 2009, remain back in the shadows and stop doing high profile stops in the middle of Casino Drive etc.
We will see.

For those interested ....

Stay in Las Vegas & ride to Laughlin, its only 90 miles one way
Visit Laughlin on Friday ... go to Oatman on Sat morning
Go to Oatman, AZ the take Rt 66 back to 93 & pass outside Kingman then thru Boulder Dam area ... long but good ride
From LV youre still close to the Valley of Fire, Boulder Dam & Lake Mead area & Red Rock is close by

If youre going to pay high prices, better to be close to the Las Vegas strip than in Laughlin
