Painted calipers?

Has anyone ever considered or have painted their brake calipers?  With chrome calipers costing $200 or more, using a high-quality caliper paint might be a cost-effective alternative to the dingy, black krinkle coat.  There are lots of colors out there if that's your thing.  For me, I'm thinking either gloss black or silver.

I've painted the calipers on my car and they came out very good and am considering doing the front calipers on my Ultra.  Any ever done it?  If so, any pictures of your painted calipers out there?

tireater should chime in, i believe he did both of his bikes. may have been powder coated though. not real sure.
