need advice/help with starter solenoid FLHR

On my 1995 FLHR w/98K & original starter & solenoid.  I'm getting 12V to the small wire and no click when I hit the start button,  so I think my solenoid is not working. 

Can I pull the solenoid out without the starter nor going through the primary ?

What parts would I need to fix the solenoid ?   (I saw a rebuild kit in the FSM but not sure if thats what I need or not) 

I appreciate any tips you may have.

I guess you would need 31604-91A solenoid repair kit. If memory serves me right, you need to pull starter, which means opening primary. I think it is hard to get to the studs without pulling the starter.

Thanks xlfan..  I was able to find the pdf sheets for the part # you provided
so that helped also...   guess I need to figure out if there is other stuff
I need to do while 'in there'
