Cam lobe clearance "Oh Joy"

Well got motor together last weekend to check clearances. Deck height was within .0015 front to rear which I thought would be closer but not too bad. That will change somewhat when domes are ceramic coated. Slid the cam in to take a look and you guessed it had to machine for lobe clearance "Oh Joy" So I take it apart again.I got a local guy to do it for me and it was soooooooooo much fun when tool made different noise as it hit pinion race. I guess I would be sweating with one of those .700+ lift cams. Well we will try again this week see what the next surprise will be. P:S: I am sharing not venting I havent had so much fun  since the 70's
