As you can see they still hold air, lol.

They have been around for what seems like a couple of years and the only place you see them is on the internet so I guess they aren't catching on.
Listen to the jingle the rumble and the roar.

Interesting concept, wonder if they save fuel by being lighter or are they heavier ???

Hi Rob,

There is another pic of the tire going over a rock. It was pretty cool too but I didn't save that one.

From the looks of it, and the name on the pic " Michelin Tweel "  it's a 1 piece assembly.

I'd like to see what the manufacturerer lists as advantages/disadvantages?

Tire manufacturers have been experimenting with non-pneumatic tires since pneumatic tires first appeared over 100 years ago. The idea that you can have a tire which doesn't require filling with air has several advantages with a car, such as not having to carry a spare, and the reduced hazard of a blowout and losing control. There's no need for a spare.

I'd love to see something like this for motorcycles.

On a side note, my Grandfather was a truck driver. He didn't have a flat tire the first few years he drove a truck. Then, they started using pneumatic tires on trucks.

Seems like it would be rough riding.
Patience is such a waste of time .

I'd think they'd only be practical in an dry environment where there was little chance to pick up debris and have it get out of balance.

The aftermarket for brushes to clean the interior of the tire would be huge.

Pissed at your neighbor?  Snake a chain and a padlock through a tire he wouldn't see walking to the car to go to work.
