I've always used the OEM rods.  Never tried any aftermarket pieces.

A new set of OEM rods might ne hard to find...I like the S&S stuff in the lower end...NO one will see it and it is piece of mind.

Jireh Cycles has a con rod set with with bearings ,pin ,nuts, bushings ready to install shipped to your door for about 130.00 dollars. Made in Japan so the quality is good...Just an option, S&S is better ,but if your on a budget these sets aren't bad...Mule...

I like the S&S rod set sold with pin, rollers, cages, etc.

I don't want to hijack the posting,,,but do you guys run the aluminium cages with the roller or the steel cage...Tell me why yuo made that choice....

I've never counted, but I was told the aluminum cages use one less roller then the steel cages.  Also, was told this
allowed more oil to circulate (using aluminum cages) around the rod rollers.  If I had my druthers..I'd use steel. :teeth:
