Whats Safe to Spray and clean

Hey Guys,

    We had a bit of a emergency trip and my heads are clean but have been
sitting on a shelf in the house and have gotten dusty.  What can I spray in
the valve spring area and not mess up the valve seals.

We should have her back together late this week or sometime next week.

Kerosene is a good cleaner and won't hurt much of anything.

   Did not know I was going to have to take off and I should have covered the parts .

Maybe a shot of compressed air would blow the dust off.
