1969 Shovel Right Side Case

I have a buddy that needs a right hand case for his '69 Shovel. I know that a lot of earlier cases will fit up to the right side, but if memory serves, there are differences in pinion oiling, and may some other small differences.

Does anyone know what years will work for the 1969 case? I seem to think it was only '68 that would work with a '69 motor. Can anyone tell me if that's right, or are there other years that'll work.

One way is, is the 69 the flat side gear case or the cone gear case cover ? I believe the flat side will work from 1959 panhead up till they change to the cone cover, and the cone case will work up to 1984, i could be wrong though.
