Hi can you run straight through pipes on a 96 roadking 1340 or do you have to use muffler's for back pressure :wtf:

Evos like back pressure. :up: Your bike will run with straight pipes but you'll have crappy performance, It'll likely drive you crazy trying to tune it right and you will attract the attention of the Law everywhere you ride. :crook:
Also you'll piss off a lot of old folks. :hyst:

Big City Thunder sells little baffles that you bolt into your header pipes to give the right amount of back pressure so the bike runs well with any open pipe. I ordered a set last year, but because of other changes I never got around to trying them.

on edit: I changed the engine this winter and doubt I will ever try the Big City Thunder baffles, the 113ci engine tends to get too loud. I was thinking of trying one in my wife's Blast, just to see how that works.
