James MLS head gaskets question

Good Day All,

Just checking through the top end parts I received for my evo top end rebuild. The old style head gasket I removed used a couple of "o" rings around the locating dowels/oil return fittings between the head and cylinder.

The James Multi layered steel head gaskets I am using don't seem like they are set up for that. The hole in the gasket that the dowels go through have just enough room for the dowel and it doesn't appear like an o ring would create the same seal between the head and cylinder.

Question: do the MLS gaskets require the use of an O ring like the old style gaskets?
