SOFTAIL TO TOURING FRONT

Hi every body i want to know can i swap out single caliper fork bottoms for twin caliper fork bottoms
on a 1996 Fatboy using the original fork tube's that's on the bike know?
I know they are the same diameter 41mm.
Is it a striaght swap or not?

The fork sliders are a straight up swap but your triple trees are 1/2" narrower than on the touring bikes. You'll have to change the trees or nothing about the wheel or brakes is even gonna be close.
