Hey all.
I stumbled upon this forum looking for information about FXRs. What an unbelievable wealth of knowledge here! Awesome forum!
I just picked up an "ugly duckling" '89 FXR and will be slowly transforming it into a sport-touring machine that will take me and the OL on our big adventure. We plan on riding Pacific Coast from SoCal to Vancouver, BC next summer.
I've owned a '92 FXRS back in late '91-94 and regretted selling ever since ... Just like I regretted selling my '77 FXE in late 80s.
Funny how my life came a full circle. Besides my '00 FXD, I also have a '74 FX that closely resembles my old '77 and now I got a FXR to rekindle my love those great bikes.
