 what f.i. system came on these bikes and are parts available for rebuild or repair ?

Marelli, yes and hard to find a mechanic to tune them

I have a 1997 Road king that I converted to Carb as i was having lots of grief when it was fuel injected.  the first F.I. systems were not very good.  Converting to carb can be done but you really need to do you home work before you begin.  You can research this site.  Lots of good info.

If you have a choice when buying an older bike pick a carburator model every time,
