1998 WIDE GLIDE WINDSHIELD

I bought a used windshield for my 98 FXDWG.  It's from a Road King.  It's a H.D. quick detach type. I mounted it on top using 5/16 fine thread bolts and washers that screw into the forks and got some signal light relocation brackets that I used to mount the bottom.  It's not a quick detach anymore and I don't care.
My concern is the bottom isn't quit right and i had to bent the brackets on the windshield to adapt. 
Any ideas what type of bracket I could use to mount the bottom to the fork tubes.  (41 mm I think).  Thanks a lot guys.
