The HD Vin # on a 1959 or supposedly on that bike should be on the left side motor case. The HD title would be issued/Documented to those #'s by the factory. The pictures offered are not clearly showing the stampings on that spot. I believe what you might be referring to is the neck stampings that can be made out. (Barely) If I'm not too far off, It says "Paucho********" The frame manufacturers stampings. This is not to say that it isn't a special construction bike and titled as such, but in my past, Dmv issues/issued #'s you stamped into the frame (Texas, back in '84) or they placed a sticker on one of the downtubes with #'s issued (Commonly seen on scores of custom builds now a days) If Arizona will allow the bike to be titled as a 59 HD -or- for whatever luck they have the real title from HD it's going to go for a lot more money. Lots more!

You're right. With those #'s (listed in the add, not in the photos) it is a special construction title. :-( It might still say "1959 Harley-Davidson" on the title but the motor # is no longer on the title since it has an assigned #. This is a police auction. I'd bet that this is siezed property and they were just looking for the easiest way to title it so they got an assigned # from the DMV. It's very difficult (if you can get it done at all) to get the title switched back to use the motor #'s. Might be easier to take it to another state and get a new title. Assuming of course that the numbers on the cases are good and haven't been fudged. That may be why the bike was siezed in the first place.
