not my everyday rider,   1968 shovelhead,  the rear cylinder cracked and in desperation i put a stock bore 74" cylinder on, the front is 0.20 over, i don't git this one out much,,, is it worth the time, cost, effort to take it apart to match the 2 bores? i do not notice any difference or vibration.

Don't lose any sleep over it, the piston weight difference is negilable, and old H-D manuals say that a .020 difference is OK. If you take a compression reading, odds are their close if the front is "middle aged"...Jeff

Had an old pan once after alot of use and good service I discovered rear cly. was 70 over and the front was 30 over and it ran great for several years

thanks for the peace of mind, put the new cylinder on at sturgis, working on a picnic table, just worrying the winter away...been a great bike..

Harleys don't need the same pistons as they run on the same crank pin, so effectively the engine only 'sees' one piston.
