well hell, been about 7 months since my big ol xr valves kissed.
i guess its time to go out and fix head.  been doing other projects.
its all apart, just never ordered valves.
it happened to other head last year.  i replaced all guides and two valves.  put old ones in new guides they felt clearanced enough.
but when got real hot one slowed down.  not much room valve to valve on this beasti.
so .... it needs a couple other things cosmetically and will do it all at once.
it shall live again some time next month.

wish me luck

yeah, was just gonna order the two. price doubled since 2 year ago.
found a retail delaer gonna send them cheaper than "friend" at local indy.
way cheaper.  so i will get all 4 and have 2 spares for "next time"
exhaust is gettign hard to find.  lots of places out of stock.
XLR stuff

getting too old for  this crap...lol
also gonna modify comp releases so maybe i can start it on one parcially bled off cylinder.
with both in not enough comp to start.  (kick only)
so i engauge rear one and start with front full comp.  i will put a plug in front release hole and drill little hole to bleed off some comp but still start.
have to experement on size.  would like to ride it more but broken body says dont kick a big stroker.

looked into elect start.  but all alum clutch with belt drive has no ring gear or place to put one.
also dont have cases for it.  also has small batt with non elect oil bag.
would be major rebuild to install starter.

it may be my next lamp shade.

or get buba to follow me around and kick it.

You want to measure those, to establish the proper clearence.
Those Iron XL's get mighty hot with that cast-iron head, and when they do, they really constrict the guide......
