slight dead spot right off idle when acclerating with 42 mm mikuni

adjusted needel  sesecond slot down
tried 20  22.5 pilot
160 and 170 main
pilot screw adjusted 1 1/4 out but does not change much at any adjustment

any ideas
this is a new carb install

adjust accelerator pump ,try 1/4 turn out if better go another 1/4 till it gets bad,now start and go in till bad and split the difference,sometimes going in at first works better depending on where its set
Keep your feet on the pegs and your right hand cranked

I'd guess you're running a little fat.  I was running a 20 slow, a 160 main, and a 98 needle on a 95". 
Slow the idle speed very low for tuning, it makes idle mixture changes more obvious.  If you have an air gap at the accelerator pump, adjust it out for quick response.  The tuning guide is a great tool for Mik owners.

adjusted and changed just about everything  just wondering if maybe the pipes flow too much they are no name pipes and very little backpressure just ordered a set of vance to try next

still just waiting for the pipes now
