I read where you would change back to original weight flywheels if given the oportunity...  http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&_trksid=p2773.m263&_trkparms=algo%3DSI%26its%3DI%26itu%3DUCI%26otn%3D40%26po%3DLVI%26ps%3D54&item=110348400897&category=35558&viewitem=

Thanks for the reference but my Shovelhead is 1982. The 82's had the later 6 degree tapers. I don't know whether those would fit but I doubt it. They have also been drilled extensively for balancing purposes to the likely would be out of balance for another motor.

This is the problem that I ran into for a long while when I was trying to find another set - there is always some variation that makes them unusable. The original ones are marked -78 or -80.

A couple of years after I changed to the modified Evoluiton wheels, I did locate a brand new set of -78A's at an Indy shop but the owner wanted $400 for the pair. I would have needed another $500 in parts to finish them off so I guess I will just stick with what I have.

Thank's for thinking about me!
