pinon gearkey evo 1990 single tee key broke 2 so far any help out there

any one tell me y key keeps  braking ?-

Check the pinion gear for a crack in the corner of the key way, the taper holds the gear on and the key is for timing the gear.

dont see  any crack nice snug fit needed a puller to brake gear lose

check the run out on the pinion shaft.
