Can someone tell me what the piston to intake valve clearance is on a stock 1998 evo efi engine?
Plans are to shave .060 off the heads and go with a .030 head gasket and either a V Thunder 3010 or 3020 cam with .500 lift.
I am concerned about piston to valve clearance issues with this setup.

Thanks in advance.

I do not know the stock clearance,,,but its recommended no less than .060...If you are worried bout clearance, use kids play doh on the valve reliefs on the piston,,,assemble and roll over engine gently,,,disassemble and mic the squished play doh for thickness...Also take in the fact of piston growth of forged over cast...
