Got a friend looking at heads for his 96 XLC 1200.Given the choice between Edelbrock #1695 or SE #16677-05 what would be the best choice?
Thanks,
Buzzurd

From what little I know of Edelbrock you don't just buy the heads, you buy The Package.

Even with the SE heads  - you need the right pistons and cams to make sure everything works well together.

between the two, I'd lean toward the SE.  Nothing against the Edelbrock, just don't know anything about them.  is there a choice of none of the above?    :teeth: If it were me, I'd just look for a set of take off heads from an '04 and up factory 1200 or find a set of Buell T-storms (but you have to use t-storm pistons).
