H-D Yellow pearl dating ?

My nephew looked at my bike today and said that he believes that my 07' Yellow pearl paint was once used on a 86 or 89 sporty.
Anyone know about the paint used back then?

OOH Don't now about that one - I've only seen a few colours on the early Evos - obviously vivid black was the most common, but they did do a nice metallic red and blue too i believe. The 1200's came out with a couple of 2-tone tanks as options too (i think the fenders were solid colours) and there was the '86 liberty Edition for the statue of liberty which had some strange badging, but never recall seeing a stock pearl yellow one. Great colour though, looks unreal on the new customs I think.
