is there any great advantage of single fire ign. over duel fire ?? thanks

psyco369

I have both and I don't really see a diff

stroker800

I perfer the single fire over tha dual,,,I have 2 kickstart bikes,,makes easier starts..the other bike has a NOS kit able to retard timing at push of button,,,able to time rear cyl +or - 5 degrees,,,able to set desired timing curve,,,also "they" claim to increase HP and fuel mileage...I have never had the different ignitions to compare any HP or mileage claims. I also perfer "dyna" over others,,,just have seen a few Crane Hi4 go bad,,could be owner mistake...

If fuel and timing are perfect, and not running a stroker(adjust rear cylinder timing), or modified chamber they are close to the same. Running real hot ignition and multiple fire seems to work real good single fire, and did help fuel mileage. Excess fuel will fight the motor with dual fire.
