Go to a friends house to work on his Night Train and another friend has his bent up Sporty there. '96 883. Got backed over and the front end got tweaked. "Should I take it to the dealer?" I couldn't let that happen so we loosened up the forks and it all seemed to pop back into position pretty well. but the lower tree has a broken fork stop so we need to replace that. Also the front wheel is slightly bent.

What is the stock wheel size? Looked like a 19? but do you think I would look at the tire size before I left?

Then I get to look for one  in swap section, plus a tach/speedo mount, lower tree, brake pedal, plus some other minor parts.
Once its running I'll have him take it for a ride and hope the front end isn't tweaked as bad as it looks!  Probably shouldn't go straight the freeway!

it can take everything you have.

Oh yeah- the Night Train issue will be posted on Twin Cam. Why do I keep saying we can fix that? I blame everyone here on HTT!

I'm pretty sure the stock tire size for the 883 that year was 100/90/19.
warning, this poster suffers from bizarre delusions
