Well today I got the rear wheel laced up and trued (posted some pics in my "lacing" post) and got the rear wheel/axle brake back together. now that I have the right hub everything fits perfectly!

I also got the terminal box on and fitted the oil tank. Am I missing a tab on the lower rear right of the oil bag? I seem to remember a picture of another '50's Pan that had a tab that attached to the tin inner and/or the chain guard.

after 11 hours total, I was tired and put her "away" for the night

Yeah, you're oil bag is missing a tab- I've got the whole rig, oil bag, battery tray, and lower fender bracket on my shelf in decent condition if you need it.

The oil tank looks to be an aftermarket tank, and the rear chainguard tab is missing.  You might like the looks of a stock oil tank with front mounts and chain mount welded on the surface of the tank.

Do you have the spacers under the battery plate in the front two tank bolts.?
There's miles to go before I sleep.

Thanks for the offer Pynzo, but I already have the rear bracket and the "repair" tabs to weld on, been sitting on them a long time, I just wanted to be positive the bag needed it.

Pzokes, I didn't put the spacers in during the mock up but i do have them.
