rear timing offset ? TMAX

So was wondering what is the rear cylinder timing offset for or better when would you mess with it,  maybe if your runing max timing so you would retard rear some since its hotter,  but i have seen rear advanced 2 over front , just wondering. thanks

I adjusted mine to the plugs.... my rear CCP is less and both of my plugs have the timing mark at the bend of the strap
