Hey everyone, My 99 road king was making a clunk up front so i decided to change my fork oil yesterday. Drained left side first and measured what came out. The oil was dark grey, like alum. metal in the oil. Had a a cup of oil in that side. Next drained right side and the oil was much cleaner WITHOUT the dark alum. metal look. Is it common for the inside of the lower fork leg be wearing. Don't have the lower leg off yet. Need to buy a 6mm hex allen socket to do complete dis. of fork. What do you think ??

I have found that 15k miles should be max interval for fork oil change, after that deposits pile up and wear accelerates.
