2003 883 questions.

Girlfriend just picked up a 2003 883, I have a twin cam and have a good understanding of that.

This is my first sportster so I have a few questions.

I want to do a complete lubrication change, Oil, filter, primary, and transmission.

I have the oil and filter figured out, the primary seems straight forward, (drain plug undernieth and refill from derby cover)

What I have not figured out yet is the trans oil level check, drain and how much to add.

If someone may help me with this part I would appriciate it.

Trans and primary share the same oil on a stock XL.

S&S cases separate the two, but the stock cases share.

1 Quart of Sport/Trans or Formula plus in the primary provides all the lube the trans and primary need.
