cutting out between shifts

i'll try to explain as best as possible,98 road king with a super e, when going through the gears running the rpms around 3500to 4000 befor shifts,let off throttle,shift,when going back into throttle not hard,the engine will stumble alittle then clear up.idles good and cruises good,roll ons good. plugs are light redish tan. has anyone run it to this? thanks for any input and ideas. have a 28 inter. and 72 main jet.i'm at sea level.

try turning up the accelerator pump a bit might clear it up , sounds like it may be a little weak mixture cough.

Is this new or an long time thing?
If ongoing, could be an undersize low speed jet or some junk in the bowl getting caught up in the low speed jet! [new]
