Thinking I want to get a Dyna, but there are a couple of models I like. Which one do you have or wish you had and why?

Love my super glide custom ! Sits high and handles well . Would like to have a low rider as well
2006 Super glide 107" , 2005 electra glide 124"

Dogbone45ACP

I have a FXDXT, If I was 25 years younger it would be my only bike. Rides smoother than my Ultra and is much lighter. More suspension adjustment than I know how to use.

Dogbone45ACP

By the way you posted in the wrong area. The mods will move it.

BVHOG

I like the FXR model dyna, ok just kidding but I had to get my fellow FXR riders going.  If I were to own another dyna (had a street bob) it would be the switchback hands down.
If you don't have a sense of humor you probably have no sense at all.

The mods have taken a four hour dinner time out, and counting. And by the way... Lowrider!

Last one was a Wideglide  loved it. Of the current models it would bve the switchback

Just sold an '08 Lowrider, was my wifes.  We both loved that bike.  Our favorite Dyna by far.

The Mods just moved one of my posts, wonder what's going on?  Wake up guys!! lol

Dan

My 01 SuperGlide! Bought it new August 2000, and have made it my own over the years. My mistress still runs strong and handles well.

Mountainman streetbob

Switchback for practicality! Less weight and less $ than a Road King! Lots of fun to build up..... SIMPLICITY!

OR

Another street bob with mini apes and over 140hp/torque this time, built for mid to top end power. Great handling, light weight, easy to mod... Love it.

I really like the Fatbob. That big front tire and wide forks make it look like a real motorcycle and it handles great. :chop:

If I had to have a Dyna, it would be the Switchback.  It has removable windshield & bags.  Take 'em off for just riding around and put 'em on for long rides or trips.

2nd choice would be a Low Rider just because it looks cool.
My Ride: Road King

Dyna choice would be the Switchback!! All is there that you need....
1st choice would be the Dyna's Pappy - the FXR!!! but you didn't ask that....  :bike:

My '02 Super Glide, tho the Low Rider's are sharp as hell. I'll never buy a post-'02 HD, but really dig both the Fat Bob & the Switchback.

My favorite Dyna??? That's easy....the one i've got....06 Lowrider.

rageglide

Original Dyna wide glide... oh wait, that's an Evo, does it count?

dynabagger

I still dig my T-Sport. FXDX's are cool too. Not much else excites me in the present line of dyna's. Though one day a Road Glide could be in the works, but the T-sport I will keep.

Favorite = Street Bob. However, if they ever fix the ridiculous amount of vibration in the Switchback that would be my favorite. I thought the complaints about the Switchback vibration were exaggerations until I test rode one. It was really really bad.

MY 2002 LOWRIDER. WHY? BECAUSE IF I CLOSE MY EYES, PUT MY HANDS AND FEET ON "PRETEND" HANDLE BARS AND FOOT PEGS, THATS THE POSITION I WAS IN ON THAT BIKE. JUST PERFECT.

Admiral Akbar

FXDX

It's got better / taller suspension and bagger front brakes..

Max

garyajaz

another vote for fxdx,
brakes/suspension

Barrett

FXDF Fatbob.. That's the bike that made me become a Harley owner..

Colt

2002 Wide Glide.  Because it's an '02 and at 69-plus thousand miles continues to be as reliable as a toothbrush.  It is also comfortable, handles well and, aesthetically, she is a gorgeous piece of work.

I've owned Super Glides, Low Riders, Street Bob, and now a Switchback.  Now that I tour a bunch the Switchback makes sense, but a Low Rider, for a basic wonderful scoot, would get my vote.  They are fun to ride.

FXDX is the best Dyna, from one who has a 2000 FXDS-CONV with 160,000 kilos (which is just a hair under 100,000 miles).

Well a Wide Glide of course, 2005 with 438,106 kilometers (272,226 miles) as of this afternoon, picture was from yesterday, 05 September 2014, highest paved road in Canada, kind of pales next to Colorado's Trail Ridge Road at 12,183 ft (3,713 m)[attach=0]

runamuck

I really like the 2001 carbed wide glide I have.

Iron horse

Wideglide for me. The things I like 180 rear tire , front rake. Flame paint job , forward controls , and it's mostly black out so it's a riding bike not one that needs to be cleaned after getting caught in the rain like my Deuce. Love to have one for a second bike.

Really liked my somewhat modified FXDXT; many exciting miles put on that bike, but now too dated for my purposes. Currently touring on an FXDF... really like the ride and the handling is OK, but certainly not in the FXDX/T league. The switchback has/had the 41mm front forks AFAIK; not the best front end if handling is high on your list of Harley traits wanted. Certainly prefer the Dyna's for touring over the FLH's. Just did 4000+ KM thru Oregon, Idaho and Washington and felt my bike was a perfect match for me on those roads.

04 SE Deuce

I agree with that logic at least to some degree.  Ships are ideal on oceans...not as much on rivers and streams.   Rick

I've only owned 6 HD's so by no means an expert but the best riding of them all (for comfort) was 2001 Wide Glide.

Should've kept it but can't keep 'em all. Still have 2 and that's enough.

I love my '02 FXDL with it's WG front end. I can set it up to tour on or strip it down for hot-rodding around town. Only H-D I'll probably ever own.

FXDF
dual front brakes, big fuel tank, very nimble for its size.
I have put longer forks on it and I can still drag the pegs around corners and not feel I'm pushing the limit.
I'm not here cause of a path before me, Im here cause of the burnout left behind
