8 inch rear fender

Quick question.  What year did they go from 7 inch wide to 8 inch wide on the Sportster rear fenders?  I need to buy the rear bracket and want to be sure to get the right one.

Nobody knows this for sure?  I imagine the latest models are 8 inch wide but want to be certain and what year started,

have a look at the part number on the 8" fender, the last 2 digits after the '-' is the year of introduction.
I'm pretty sure it was 2004, as this was when the rubber mount sportster came in with the new frame. prior to that they used a 130 section rear tyre, after that i believe it was a 150 section.
