I've been attempting to track down a Sportster shift lever (from XLs with mid-controls) that is steel as compared to a casting of unknown metallic components.  Can anyone tell me what the stock shift lever is like and if there is a part number on it?  I assumed that it would be steel like the oem lever on my Dyna.

Thanks,
Sean

The stock shifter lever on my 1993 Sporty is alloy. Part number is 34606-90.
Why do you want one in steel?  Lighter is faster...

I see there is a brand new 34606-90 on eBay.

You didn't mention what year.
The 07' stock chrome is P/N 34660-04A

My plan was to weld the two levers together to make a heel-toe shifter.  Trying to weld a cast part and a steel part doesn't seem feasible.
