putting cruise on 00 flhr that was not set up for it. do i need to replace the ecm?

I did the same thing with my 03    pretty much a piece of cake
didn't have to replace ECM.

I bought mine from the dealer  my bikes wiring harness was mostly already set up for cruise control
it was a option when I bought the bike I chose to add the cruise control 4yrs later.
Everything I needed was in the kit if you need more details I'll be happy to give them to you.

yea the 02 and up bikes are plug and play. this one is not. i got it all wired and noticed the ecm is not wired the same as a cruise would be. so can i rewire it or do i need a ecm?

The Cruisemount product as recommended by Crazy Joe is the way I did it on my 2001 FLHRI.  They are great to deal with and the directions they provide are excellent.  This was the best add on for the money that I have done to my bike.
