I have a chance to buy an iron-head.  Asking 4000.00.  Runs and has a new battery.  Has electronic ignition and electric start.  No kicker. Has spoke wheels and looks nearly stock, guy says leaks a bit of oil not sure where but suspects from the primary.  Has about 25000 miles.  Is this too much??  Thanks for your input.  Have had several Harleys but never an Ironhead. Had a couple Shovelheads so I'm not too bad at fixing. Thanks for your input.

I have a '78 ironhead, paid $2,000 as a basket case. So a complete running bike, if it ain't all beat up and bent up and looks halfway decent, $4K doesn't sound too bad. I would offer something like $3200 first, though.
:-)

Fighting oil leaks is part of the reason to have an Ironhead. Call it a "feature".
