SOME news is at least good news...at least it's not just vaporware. It would be nice if they'd drop some teaser images on their site, and at least the ETA though. I'm very interested in that MP-5UBT model, and would love to see how it stacks up to other aftermarket options. Since it's 5 degrees out, there is no thought of going into the garage to play with the bike tonight, so they have time!

they had there monthly staff meeting today from what I hear.  That's probably what lead to the threads being closed.  Be cautious if referring to UN or this site even in PM, I think they can track it.  I've been sending people here in PM by harley tech talk .org with the spaces in between then deleting the message after I send it.  Don't get me wrong, they can ban me if they want but they'll have to come up with a good reason 'cause i'm going out of my way to skirt around the rules.

One of the guys on our weekly bar run, I mean friendly motorcycle ride, has a Honda Magna with handlebar mounted crappy 3" chrome speakers that sound like chit, and his music choices suck.
When I'm riding near him, or especially next to him, is it OK if I downshift 2 gears and stick my Thunderheader in his ear?

Although I boast about 1000w of audio on my own ride, it's never to the point where other people get annoyed with it.  I don't pull up to a stop light "thumpin" and my license plate rattling like it's about ready to take flight.  Most of the time the audio is off altogether and I'm just listening to the thumpin of the crankshaft and the wind in my ears.

sorry man I missed this one.  I still haven't done it.  Waiting on John to get his butt down here from Dallas with it but I've got it all figured out.  Once I get it here, I'm going to prototype a plug n play harness for it and give the specs to Biketronics for their use.  I don't have the time or the facilities to manufacture a harness in bulk so they can take it from there.

sorry man I missed this one.  I still haven't done it.  Waiting on John to get his butt down here from Dallas with it but I've got it all figured out.  Once I get it here, I'm going to prototype a plug n play harness for it and give the specs to Biketronics for their use.  I don't have the time or the facilities to manufacture a harness in bulk so they can take it from there.

I agree that tunes when traveling are great. But notice, you are on an Ultra, made for tunes. Road King, made for wind in your face and exhaust in your ear.

H K radio on it   would also like to have XM radio.

03 has the CD. From what I've heard it should be plug and play...
If I want the AVC  to work I have to send the radio in for some work.
I also would like to install a XM module so I can get rid of the Roady II
New radio will be out of a 2013 I believe.

What about all my 8 tracks??

no need to send it off.  there is a setting within the diags of the new head unit that you'll change from setting 1 to 2 or 2 to 1 (can't remember).  What that does is turns the AVC from digital to analog input.

Can you elaborate? I was also under the impression that it needed to go back to Iron Cross. Would love to know the details.

The internal AVC setting for a newer radio is only programmable for the 2004 and 2005 model bikes because it is also a digital signal.  the 03 on back use analog and yes it has to be flashed by ICA.
