Is there decent 4 channel amp that will fit in the fairing? I was previously running a 2 channel Arc mini (2 ohm) with Infinity 6032cf's but would like to add saddlebag speakers and upgrade the fairing speakers.

Thanks,
Rick

I'll throw in and recommend the Power Acoustik RZ4-2000D. 4Ω/2Ω stable, might nix some FM station reception, but if you're using anything else that doesn't come into play. Pushes 100w @ 4Ω, 130w @ 2Ω. I'm running two pairs of Polk MM651's off of it and they work great. My amp is sitting on top of the radio, with the xm and cb modules moved to below the radio with Velcro.

Assuming you're on a batwing and not a Road Glide.

I like the BT amps very powerful and they fit in the fairing. They are spendy but nice.

Correct assumption. Thanks for the recommendations, it gives me something to look at. I have to start looking at head units also. My Sony took a dump some time back and needs to be replaced.

Another vote for the Biketronics 4180. It's 180w x 4 @ 4ohms and comes with a lifetime warranty. It's also 2ohm stable and no issues with FM reception. I noticed they're offering a Forum member discount.

Sounds like one to look at. Back when I first installed the system the Arc was the $hit, sounds like a lot of other options out there now.

Thanks,
Rick

+1 on the RZ4 - I tested mine - RUNNING THE BIKE - at 140W at 2 ohm and 100W at 4 ohm... fits in Batty. ~110 USD

Otherwise BT4180 is a great choice, although I have not tested it yet. waiting for Gann's to come in here for bench test
But then again - BT is in a difference price league and I cannot look into your wallet.
the PPI 4.900 is AWESOME - see test, but does NOT fit in fairing otherwise i would get one....

Rick,  I just put a Alpine 149BT deck in my bike today.  pulled out the Alpine x305s and gave it to my buddy....  the 149 is a great deck.  and a lot of adjust-ability.  LOL the 305 was a great deck.

I am running the Alpine PDX F6 amp which won't fit in either fairings.

Damn good amp. Recommended to me by our own audio guru. Just put it in my 2012 RG after constant problems with the HogTunes amps. It actually gets too loud with the stock pipes. Means I have some head room when I do the motor upgrades. Almost have all the parts for that upgrade too.  :teeth:

SS PN4.520 ~~ PA RZ4-2000D (just make sure you got the one with the screw terminals for speakers, that is the newer model and I found it louder and clearer than the older one (I had older model SS PN and switched out for PZ4)

The Kenwood 798 is the best hu I have ever owed. Still trying to dial it in I have no clue what I am doing but I will get it,

I have the old style SS amp and just recently install the RZ4 into a friends bike. I am truly impressed with that RZ4. I recommend that or the BT amps
