What's the hot setup for ignition control? I'm looking for something that is fully programsble with a laptop.

Dyna, Daytona, or something else?

Stroker, theWEGO.

Have you looked at the MSD MC4? Seems I could tune both cylinders individually.

I would use the ignition that comes with the engine management system you choose.

Wego works great on carb or EFI .
No I haven't looked at the MSD MC4 .  :nix:

I recently installed the WEGO IIID  with  the SL-1  Shift light and data logger  from Daytona Sensors  . I also added an  AFR gauge from VEI  . The data logger  seems to work good .   I can make a pass now and I`ll know for sure whether  I`m rich or lean , shows shift points , vehicle speed  Afr front and rear  and a few other things   .  I`m hoping to work out some bugs with my  G extreme setup  ......bladerunner

A bit bulky, but based what I've gathered on the internets, a more tunable/powerful system.

Right now I'm looking to complete the carbed version then move on the good EFI system. It'd be interesting to know if the EFI systems currently available offer as powerful of an ignition as MSD.

As a side note, barring any confusion on my end, it looks like MSD is the only way to run dual plugs per head with individual mapping per plug.

the MC 4 definitely has all the bells and whistles
you can have DTT configure about anything you want into the EFI ECM. I am working with them on a custom  speed density 3 bar setup.

Except timed injection and dual plugs (individually tuned per cylinder). Timed injection was the imperative, not the dual plugs.

I know the micro squirt can do some pretty cool stuff.  Andy Whittle knows a thing or two about them.

Hi Joe,

I thought MS was coming out with a harley specific efi setup?
