    A buddy of mine took off cam cover (not sure why)and the front cam came out with it.  The tappet dropped down and the cam will not slide back in.  Tried turning wheel to get pushrod to go back up but it didn't move.  I'm thinking we may have to take rocker box cover off to fix,  any suggestions?  Bike is an 05 XL 1200

Aw geezz, with friends like that, who needs enemies..............
Yup, your gonna need to go into the rocker box to pull the push rods. Unless you can come up with a set of adjustable / quick install push rods and just cut out the oem ones. Not sure. Your gonna need a gasket set and a manual.

   I kinda figured we be into the top end.  I also thought about cutting the pushrod but he didn't care for the idea.  It's his bike so I'll let him do what he wants.  Thnx for the info.
