How much oil

Ive installed a 3 quart wrap around oil tank w/spin on filter and no dip stick.The newly re-built motor has not had any oil in it yet.How much oil does the motor hold by its self?

The oiling system is a dry sump design.  There shouldn't be more then a few ounces of oil in the motor.

You'll probably be dealing with a touch more than three quarts for that baby.
