I have a 2013 883 iron.  Went to adjust the clutch after swapping bars.  It rode OK but felt like the clutch was slipping a little.   I went back in and adjusted the nut closer to the pack.   Now the clutch won't engage and there is a bad noise. I have never do r this clutch before and am not sure but it looks like the diaphragm spring has sprung backwards.   Is this possible. are the prongs on the spring supposed to be flat or tented up toward center.

I never seen a clutch spring with the end turned up or down.

I would be taking that clutch pack apart... that racket may well be a disintegrated spring plate chewing up your clutch basket.

The diaphragm spring is the least of your worries at this point!

If you're lucky, it may only be a failed throwout bearing.

You can pull the bearing without taking apart the clutch, but you'll need a clutch compressor tool to disassemble the pack.
