I am replacing the stock radio on my 03 Bagger with
with a radio from a 2013. I'm finally getting around to
sending the radio out for a mods so the AVC will work
with my year bike. I have been reading about Bluetooth
mods, and amps. I know I'll have to buy new speakers,
don't know what brand I'll be buying    any suggestions?
and amps, do I need to look into this? my stock radio
did fine for me.
I'm just looking for music on the long runs
don't need it loud just to sound good, my home system
is for blasting not my bike radio.

I'll have to say I've heard some darn good systems on
the bike out there never would have thought you could
get that good of sound out of a bike system.

just get you a good set of 2 ohm speakers (that's what is needed for the 2013 head unit) and you'll be fine.

Kappa 62.11i and a pair of adapter rings and you're set.

I replaced my stock speakers some years back
they are heavier then the stock speakers and barely
fit in the fairing. If I remember the fairing brackets
are in the way.  These adapter rings will help with this?
Also the Kappa 62.11i  will hold up the the weather/water?
One more thing : )  whats this I hear about foam
around  the speakers?

move your fairing brackets out of the way, install your speakers, then reattach your fairing brackets

adapter rings provide an upgrade path from the stock 5.25" speakers to 6.75" without modifications

most speakers now-a-days are weather resistant.  No speaker out there is waterproof

when installing your speakers, take 3 thin layers of polyfil in a 15x15" square and wrap around each speaker.  This help with your low end bass response.  Keeps it nice - n - tight.  You can get it from Walmart
