I have an 09 streetglide.
I installed a Harley CB module a few years back to communicate with the group I ride with.
I am installing a Biketronics 2180 amp.
I have removed the CB module and mounted the amp on top of the factory radio as shown on their instructions.
If I mount the CB on top of the amp, the fairing cover will not fit.

I am at wits end with this damn thing!  :banghead:

What have others done to re-locate their CB and or XM modules?
There also appears to be a very fine line with the placement of the wiring harness to allow the outer fairing to fit.

Some photos and suggestions of what others have done would be very much appreciated.

industrial strength velcro and relocate to bottom of radio.  I use a large zip tie for good measure as well.  fits perfectly

They need to be changed for the same reasons

Thanks Nutz.
I had a look and it is a pretty tight fit under the radio.
Did you mount it on the clutch (left) side of the radio?
There are some bosses that prevent it from sitting flat against the bottom of the radio.
Did you put velcro discs on these?

UltraNutZ

the industrial strength velcro is thicker than most so it will work perfectly fine.

yes sir, on the clutch side.

Found some and installed the module underneath as you mention.
There is very little room for all the wiring harnesses behind the outer fairing.
I am struggling now to get the outer fairing to fit.

I'm kinda wishing I had just left things well enough alone.
Better sound awfully good by the time it is all said and done!

Thanks for your help.
